Capital One Login: What You Need to Know

Are you switching from Capital One to CIBC? If so, this article will guide you through the process of activating your new CIBC Costco Mastercard and setting up recurring bill payments.

First, make sure to activate your card as soon as you receive it. To do this, follow the instructions on the sticker on your card. This will also activate any authorized users' cards. You should receive your authorized users' cards in the mail along with yours. Once activated, you'll be able to use the tap functionality on your credit card for future purchases.

When shopping in-store, remember to insert your card and enter your PIN on your first purchase after activating your new CIBC Costco Mastercard. Your new card will arrive by mail before August 31, 2022.

In addition to activating your card, you'll need to set up recurring bill payments. You can do this through the CIBC Mobile Banking App or CIBC Online Banking, or by setting up CIBC Mastercard as a payee through your current financial institution. If you were previously enrolled in AutoPay on your Capital One credit card, note that this service ended on March 3, 2022.

To ensure seamless online payments of your credit card bill, add CIBC MASTERCARD as a payee through your current financial institution using your 16-digit credit card number. Payments made to Capital One will no longer be routed to CIBC after August 2022, so make sure to update your payment information accordingly.

One important thing to note is that you and your authorized users automatically receive all the new CIBC benefits starting on March 4, 2022. You don't need to reapply for a new card or wait for the new card to arrive to start enjoying these benefits.

If you're having trouble accessing previous Costco Mastercard statements, you can submit a request through CIBC Online Banking or by phone. To do this, call the customer service phone number on the back of your credit card and follow the prompts. You'll be directed to a form to submit a request, and below your account number, you'll see a box explaining how to request your previous statements.

Finally, keep checking CIBC Online Banking or Mobile Banking regularly, as they are continuing to add more historical statements. You will soon have access to a full 7-year inventory of your Costco Mastercard statements.
